Official Website to find Zerona Physicians!

Most people have already heard now the exciting news about the latest fat burning procedure, the Zerona laser. This has been all over the news lately, splashed in women’s magazine as the savior of women’s bodies and the true way to get rid of those stubborn fat deposits that most people experience at least at some point in their lives. Now there is no need to live with this any longer, which is why so many people are talking about it. There is an official Zerona site that has a great number of satisfied testimonials both from patients and their doctors who are blown away at the level of success they exhibit, at findzerona.com.

Visiting the official Zerona site at findzerona.com can be a great way to learn more about this procedure, which is different from earlier fat-burning methods, including the painful and expensive liposuction and laser surgery. Liposuction requires a person to go under the knife, at great cost, to have their fat literally sucked out by a professional. The high powered lasers of yore are not quite as gruesome, and a little bit less invasive, since you don’t have to go all the way under for this procedure and the fat is burned away.

However, there is no need any longer for either of these procedures, with the advent of the Zerona low-powered laser, which is why people are so excited. Finally, there is a method in which you can melt away fat, literally. The lower scope of laser gently and effectively liquefies the fat that has accumulated in the skin’s subcutaneous layer. This is then slowly flushed out of the body’s system. Because it accounts for everyone’s differences in physical makeup, the whole length of the process could vary, but generally takes no more than a few weeks. The official Zerona site describes this in great detail at findzerona.com.

Learning about this procedure at the official Zerona site is the first step for those who are curious about this new, innovative, revolutionary fat burning method. At findzerona.com, one can find answers to all of the questions they may have about how it works and what other people’s experiences with it have been like. The proof is turning out positive, as most people are delighted with the permanent results. The next step is finding the right doctor who is familiar with the procedure and can help you turn your life around in a new way, free of fat.

Teens and cosmetic surgery

Cosmetic surgery is a rising trend among the 18-and-under set, which has raised a few eyebrows and, consequently, procedural standards.

Out of the hundreds of thousands of procedures performed on high-school-age patients each year, the most popular surgery is, by far, rhinoplasty (nose jobs), but a number of other procedures are being elected by a growing group of teens. These include breast augmentation, reductions, and asymmetry correction in females, gynecomastia (excess breast tissue) treatment in males, as well as liposuction (often at the same time as rhinoplasty) in both genders.

As you may surmise, not all teens are appropriate candidates for cosmetic surgery. The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) notes that maturity - both physical and emotional - must be assessed before parents and doctors decide to let a minor go under the knife. Additionally, parents must be conscientious in their research of both certified plastic surgeons and the risks associated with surgery.

In addition to the influence of persuasive and pervasive advertising and television makeover programs that stimulate demand, it is difficult for a physician to neutrally present both the risks and benefits of an elective procedure that he or she is simultaneously selling.7 Requiring parental consent for patients under 18 does not ensure informed consent, since research is lacking on long-term risks for many cosmetic procedures.

Don't forget to search PlasticSurgeryReview.com for reviews of your elected procedure. This will help you determine if certain cosmetic procedures are right for you or your teen.

Advances in plastic surgery and Botox

Most people know that Botox is the most common non-invasive cosmetic procedure performed today. It's mainly used to smooth out fine wrinkles and age lines... and, in some cases make you look 10 years younger!

But, what most people DON'T know is that Botox serves other purposes. Botox can be used to alleviate muscle spasms around the eye area and can also alleviate headaches. It may also be used to treat acne and acne scarring. Apparently, it decreases the muscle pump and the production of oils, which helps many people with acne.

As the study of plastic surgery continues to grow, plastic surgeons are finding many other uses for botox in other applications, not just cosmetic and plastic surgery.

"Big-Bust Bandit" accused of stealing an identity to get $12,000 in cosmetic surgery

On Tuesday, a California woman who'd become known in the press as the Big-Bust Bandit turned herself into Huntington Beach police, accused of essentially stealing cosmetic surgery.

According to the Orange County Register, Yvonne Pampellonne stole another woman's identity in order to open a line of credit and undergo $12,000 worth of liposuction and breast augmentation at the Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery. When she didn't attend any follow-up appointments (a risky move in and of itself), the center's staff called the police, who put out a warrant for her arrest.

Like most medical devices, breast implants are equipped with tracking numbers. Sometimes used by coroners for body identification, this unique numeric badge helped confirm the identity of the very-much-alive Pampellonne, who had also been picked by the center's employees in a photo lineup. She is charged with identity theft, grand theft, and commercial burglary.

Beyond Beauty: Celebrity lip secrets!

You see celebrities with lips like Angelina Jolie on every corner these days but what's behind the scenes here? Most likely collagen, and increasingly, injections like Restylane or Juvederm.

Collagen lip injections (http://plasticsurgeryreview.com/procedure/collagen-injections) are vastly more popular than silicone and implants simply because they enhance lip shape and size without committing to a permanent result. Injections are also regarded as the most natural looking a feeling form or lip augmentation.

Lip injections last four to six months, with periodic "touch-up" treatments two or three times yearly. New breakthroughs in collagen treatments now reduce the risk of any allergic reactions patients may have with injections. Your lips may seem a little too swollen when you leave the doctor's office, but this will fade after a few days.

Those of us with slimmer bank accounts can forego the fillers and try one of the many temporary "lip plumpers" on the market today. Over the past few years, the demand for these products has risen dramatically. Nowadays, you can even find them separated from other lip products on most beauty websites.

Most lip plumpers work using a simple strategy: Irritate the skin on your lips in order to cause minor swelling. Ingredients such as cinnamon, capsaicin (from peppers) and peppermint will cause reddening and mild plumping of the lips. The level of irritation on the skin is about the same as the sting from a hot pepper. Too Faced Lip Injection and DuWop Venom are two popular brands of this kind of lip plumper.

A new butt that would make even Jennifer Lopez jealous

What is the brazilian butt lift?

It is said that Jennifer Lopez has done for the rear end what Pamela Anderson has done for the front end. Over the last few years the buttocks and abdomen have received more press coverage than ever before.

The brazilian butt lift is not just about big butts!.

The brazilian butt lift is a type of butt augmentation procedure which results in a youthful, prominent, perky buttocks and a more sensual body profile. People of all ages are having the butt lift procedure. This procedure involves removing fat from selected areas of your body, purifying the fat, then reinjecting selected donor fat cells into your buttocks. The process of fat re injection involves scores or hundreds of injections. The procedure is designed to fill the upper quadrant of your buttocks so that the butt appears lifted and perky. The resulting effect is that the woman appears more attractive and sensuous.

If I am more concerned with increasing the size of my buttocks, can I have butt implants instead?

There are two different ways to enlarge your buttocks:
1) Brazilian Butt Lift: Fat injections or fat transfer to the butt
2) Butt Implants: Insertion of silicone implants

Some doctors may recommend butt implants over the brazilian butt lift ONLY IF you are really tiny and have no body fat stored in your abdomen. If you have enough donor fat, a doctor may prefer to augment the butt using fat injections-the brazilian butt lift. This method results in the most natural and sensual look for the buttock area. The doctor may recommend butt implants if you are very tiny with no fat in your stomach or flank area. The fat transfer method has a lower risk of infection compared to the butt implant procedure.

So if you're in the market for a new butt that would make even J-Lo jealous, you may want to set up a doctor consultation to discuss your individual needs and expectations. By asking questions that you may have about brazilian butt lifts or butt implants, you can make a more informed decision as to whether either of these procedures is right for you.

Get a tighter tummy with Thermage!

The very first skin tightening technology, Thermage, now has FDA approval for skin tightening of the tummy. Specifically for the crinkly, wrinkly skin texture around the belly button, Thermage can be used alone, or to refine the results of a tummy tuck or liposuction to improve the appearance, texture and tone of abdominal skin.

how do you know if Thermage is the right choice to tighten your tummy? If your belly hangs over your bikini (even just a little bit!) you likely have either excess skin or fat that must be treated with a tummy tuck or liposuction. But if your skin is loose, crinkly and your belly button seems to sag a bit, then Thermage is worth considering.

A sedative is required during treatment, and patients are seeing improvement in the weeks following just one treatment. This does not treat excess fat, muscle tone, nor can it shrink skin that hangs, but for those who want improved texture and a smoother surface the results are promising.

Say goodbye to your double chin and create a more defined jawline with lipo!

The double chin is a common complaint. Using liposuction to remove the small pocket of fat under the chin can have a tremendous impact on the profile by creating a more defined jawline.

Small amounts of fat are removed through tiny incisions using a cannula and suction. The procedure may take as little as 30 minutes under local anesthesia with sedation, unless combined with a more extensive procedure.

A single stitch may be all that is required to close the incision, and it is typically removed after three or four days. A compression bandage may be worn until the day after surgery, and most patients experience minor bruising and discomfort that can be controlled with over-the-counter medication.

With so many liposuction techniques availiable, how do you identify which one is best for you?

Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com

Liposuction is rarely just liposuction these days. Technology in this area has expanded to include internal and external ultrasound to help break up the fat, lasers, and power-assisted liposuction. If you’re interested in liposuction, you should choose a doctor who has several methods available, and who can justify the technique chosen for you and your body type.

A lot people are talking about SmartLipo—a technology that reduces fat by laser technology. A small probe is inserted into areas that have deposits of excess fat, and energy from a YAG laser is emitted. The fat cells are literally ruptured by the laser energy, and the body naturally expels the liquid matter within cells. Laser energy also coagulates tissue so that skin can conform to the new shape after treatment. You’ll be in compression after the procedure and will see your results start to evolve within a week.

How does this differ from liposuction? With liposuction, fat is loosened and sculpted with the tip of a cannula (a hollow tube inserted through the skin). It is then removed from the body immediately with vacuum suctioning. Ultrasonic energy in the form of Vaser Liposelection can be added to emulsify the fat first so there is less “thrust” to the sculpting and to help coagulate tissues so they better conform to your new shape. You’ll be in compression after the procedure and see results right away. Swelling will be resolved over coming weeks.

Both SmartLipo and liposuction require fully accredited surgical facilities for your safety, even though some procedures can be performed with local anesthetic. Neither are meant for weight reduction, but rather spot reduction of excess fat. Both require an experienced doctor who performs both procedures to identify which one is best for you.

Top ten things you should never ask a plastic surgeon!

Image Hosting by PictureTrail.com

1. I’m 50. Make me Look like I did at 20

A plastic surgeon can turn back the clock significantly but can’t reset your appearance to three decades ago.

2. Write me a prescription for Some Extra Pain Killers

Basically, don’t ask a plastic surgeon to break the law. Sure, you can have a prescription for a few pain killers, sleep aids or tranquilizers in connection with a surgery, but don’t try to cop a major score!

3. Make me Look like Angelina Jolie (Brad Pitt, etc.)

One of the ways a plastic surgeon has of knowing you know the meaning of “realistic expectations” in plastic surgery is to exclude those who want to look like celebrities. The whole idea is to make the best possible version of you.

4. I want a Face Lift because (my wife divorced me; my husband is seeing his secretary; my dog died) and want to feel better.

Plastic surgeons are trained to screen out people who want the surgery for the wrong reasons. So having surgery when you are going through a divorce or some other deeply troubling event is usually out.

5. Why Do You Charge So Much for surgical procedures?

If you are in the office of a plastic surgeon who is board certified in plastic surgery, it requires anywhere from four to seven years of extra training after he or she receives the M.D. degree. Not everybody has the smarts, coordination and determination to get there.

6. I Want Liposuction because I don’t like Working Out.

Actually, you’ll have the best results if you can get off the coach, watch what you eat and work out. Your surgeon may even tell you to go home and lose weight before he’ll give you liposuction, which is not a method of weight control.

7. I Want to Get back to my active lifestyle directly after the procedure.

If you want an invasive procedure, you must show the surgeon you have time to take care of yourself and let your body heal after surgery.

8. I Sued My Last Plastic Surgeon!

Among people for whom rejuvenation surgery is probably not right are some with an odd condition (body dysmorphic disorder) in which no amount of plastic surgery is enough. And no results are ever good enough.

9. Help Me tamper with a Health Insurance Report

Once again, don't ask a plastic surgeon to break the law. Besides, almost all plastic surgery is paid up front unless you apply for third party financing. Very few elected procedures are covered by insurance.

10. Don’t Bother checking my Blood Pressure (Glucose level; EKG reading, etc.)

No way around it: you gotta be healthy enough for plastic surgery. If you have a chronic health condition like high blood pressure, diabetes or heart woes, the only way your plastic surgeon can go forward is to check your medical tests.
