Breast Asymmetry
Description:

Breast asymmetry is a condition where one breast is larger or dislike the other. There are many symptoms of this which include size, shape, and nipple position. For each case, treatments may vary depending on the individual. Correcting breast surgery involves enlarging one breast (breast augmentation) or reducing the size of a breast. This can be accomplished through various forms of incisions, breast lifts, or implants.

Procedure Length: 
Usually one to three hours.
Side Effects: 
Swelling, discomfort, temporary numbness, redness, bleeding, and decreased movement.
Recovery: 
Most patients can return to work within two weeks. Strenuous activities should be avoided for about one month.
Risks: 
Though rare, some breast asymmetry correction risks do occur. Infection, permanent loss in sensitivity, dissatisfaction of results, and internal scarring.
Results: 
Usually long lasting. Implants may need revision after five to ten years.

Outpatient. Usually performed in doctor's office or hospital.

Local or general.
