Description:

The process involves a practitioner to press a device (usually a crystal spray that breaks up dead skin) against the skin that helps clear away blemishes etc. While microdermabrasion is popular amongst people over the age of thirty, it is also popular amongst teenagers looking to improve their skin from mild acne scarring, fine lines, and texture of skin. Microdermabrasion is safe for light and dark skinned patients.
Procedure Length:
Length of a microdermabrasion treatment is usually an hour.
Side Effects:
Temporary redness usually subsides the same day of treatment.
Recovery:
No downtime. Resume normal activities immediately. Consult your doctor about sunlight.
Risks:
Possible risks include bleeding, swelling, bruising, infection, and hyperpigmentation.
Results:
